So, for what it's worth, I drew a bit on what I've been developing for Excel to make a quick quote service app for "Google Chrome":chrome. It also pulls quotes from Bloomberg, Google and Yahoo!, and then adds some charting capabilities.
We'll see how much time I have to work on it and improve things, but I made it because there doesn't seem to be a great variety of finance apps that can get you information on the fixed income, futures and stock markets. So, there you go, a simple little exercise that puts everything you need (and a lot of things you don't) a button click away:

I added the following comment under Anon. in the Google add-on section. If you make any/all of the changes I suggested, I would be grateful if you could let me know.
Kind regards
An excellent add-on. There are not many of these apps that are very useful, but yours saves having a window open for each and every market. For example, I do not trade the VIX, but it is important to know what is going on with it. The alarm is a hum-dinger.
I have a few small suggestions: 1. Perhaps you might add quote.com to your provider list, 2. is there a way of having your chrome quotes box stay always on top? and 3. Could you add OR to your alert condition box (I haven't tried it out, as the markets are closed now), to say for example 1.5000 as your EURUSD example?
Well done in any event!
The newest version has the features you were looking for. I used the extension to alert all current users of the impending upgrade, so hopefully that suffices if you don't receive an email about this comment.
Quote.com is now available as a quote source.
The only way to make the quote box "stay on top" is to embed it in every web page. Obviously, this has performance implications depending on the speed of your computer, but it should be an acceptable trade-off given the limitations on Chrome extensions.
I've had this for a while now, but a comma functions as an OR operator (e.g. "1.5" means "less than 1.0 or greater than 1.5")
This is a great extension. However, I am having trouble with the embedded quote feature. All I am seeing is a small white tab in the top right corner of the page that says "HIDE" (or "SHOW" if I click on it). None of the portfolio is displayed, even though the "make me visible..." box is checked.
Thanks for the heads-up, Roy. I fixed the issue you mentioned.
Perfect. Keep up the good work.
